SRF 1 Starring Benjamin Gaub’s Research Work

The SRF 1 TV programme "gesundheitheute" broadcast a short documentary about Benjamin Gaub's reserach work (Müller group).

Dr Benjamin Gaub did his PhD at UC Berkeley as a Fulbright fellow with Professor Flannery and Professor Isacoff. During his time at UC Berkeley, Benjamin Gaub used engineered and natural light gated receptors to restore vision in blind animals that had lost photoreceptors due to genetic mutations.

The results from Gaub's research will now be translated to blind humans and tested in clinical trials. Currently, he is continuing his work as a postdoc at the ETH Zurich Department for Biosystems Science and Engineering in Basel.
