Data protection policy

1. Data processing

You are applying for a position at one of the partner institutions of the H2020 Initial Training Network "Machine Learning Frontiers in Precision Medicine" (MLFPM). Personal data such as your full name, address, e-mail address and telephone number will be collected and processed in connection with your application, along with other documents submitted by you to support your application.

2. The purpose of data processing

The data is processed exclusively for the purpose of potentially filling a vacancy. We reserve the right to check your application to assess your suitability for other vacancies within the MLFPM network. Data may also be processed for statistical purposes. However, in such cases it will not be possible to trace it back to individual persons.

3. The completeness of your information

It is your responsibility to ensure that the information you provide is truthful, up to date and complete. Please note that false information could lead to the cancellation of any potential employment relationship.

4. Security

For its recruitment activities, MLFPM uses a software service provided by Glowbase GmbH, which specialises in IT solutions for the recruitment and management of doctoral positions. Your data is transmitted to Glowbase GmbH in encrypted form via the web address glowbase.com and is stored and/or processed on its systems in Switzerland. The data is processed using state-of-the-art technology, and appropriate technical and organisational security measures are taken to protect your data from, in particular, being lost, destroyed or accessed by unauthorised persons. Everyone involved in the recruitment process and anyone brought in to provide support shall be obliged to maintain strict confidentiality and therefore no personal data is passed on to unauthorised third parties. Once we have received your application, you will receive confirmation by e-mail immediately.

5. Access to your data

Your data will only be made accessible to the relevant HR managers and any other persons responsible for recruitment (in particular the Principal Investigators) at all partner institutions of the network. In exceptional cases, i.e. where it is necessary for the purpose of providing support and maintaining software functionality, staff at Glowbase GmbH will also have access to the system.

6. Right to information and rights of amendment and deletion

You can request information about the status of your application and about your data at any time. You are also entitled to have your electronic data amended or deleted at any time. To exercise your right to information or your rights of amendment or deletion, please contact .

7. Deleting data

According to the H2020 MSCA rules, your data and application documents will have to be stored for at least 5 years after the end of the network. If you are appointed to a post, the data and documents that you provided for your application may be transferred to your electronic personnel file.
