The D-BBSE has several scientific as well as excellent organizational and technical services in house. All of these support units enable our research groups to embark on world class research while not being burdened with daily business associated with things like handling offers, checking whether the hoods are functioning, or if all first aid units are up to date and stocked.

The scientific services are still being added to the department, but one, the Center for Information Sciences and Databases (C-ISD), has been with the department from the start. C-ISD provides our research groups with effective scientific services needed to bridge the gap between applied biology and information technologies. The service has been crucial to the interdisciplinary research pursued at the D-BSSE.
