Research Project
The MSc program in biotechnology includes a research project. The duration of the research project is 16 working weeks. The research project may be carried out during the semester break. Directives for the Research Project
Subjects and supervision
Usually, the research project is carried out in a core or elective subject area at the D-BSSE. List of research areas available at D-BSSE. If approved by the director of studies, students may carry out their research project in a different ETH department or in the industry. Please submit your request for a research project outside D-BSSE at least four weeks ahead of the scheduled start.
Research projects done during the BSc program
Students
enrolled in the bachelor's program in biotechnology are admitted to the research project
before graduation from the BSc program on condition that they have to
acquire less than 12 credits for their bachelor's diploma.
