Education at the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering

 

What do we teach?

Modern life scientists need extensive knowledge in multiple disciplines in order to successfully carry out their research. At the D-BSSE, in addition to Biology, students are exposed to Informatics and Engineering from the beginning of their studies. This type of curriculum allows our students to become acquainted with the various methodologies and ways of thinking inherent to the different disciplines. Moreover, the students learn to continuously develop skills in theory and practice from the early days of their studies.

 

The D-BSSE currently hosts bachelor and master studies in the area of Biotechnology. In addition, the department hosts a large PhD program with a broad variety of topics.
