Research Interests

I'm interested in studying dynamical systems in biology from both experimental and theoretical point of view.

Some of the topics I have been involved in include:

Evolutionary Dynamics of RNA viruses

Evolution of virulence
Origins and evolution of viral genome segmentation
Genetic topology of quasispecies submitted to mutagenic treatment
Design of live-attenuated vaccines

Cell proliferation dynamics
In silico 2D-3D simulations of dynamic biological systems (download a movie)
