The Bioprocess Laboratory at the D-BSSE has recently developed a novel ultra high-throughput approach for screening of microbial colonies utilizing nanoliter-reactors as reaction vessels.
Within the BPL I am involved in adapting this platform for the screening of novel lantibiotics obtained from SYNMOD – a comprehensive synthetic biology approach for design and production of novel antibiotic molecules.
