How to Find Us

BEL offices and laboratories are located in the building of the department of Biosystems, Science and Engineering (BSSE) in the Rosental area in Basel.

Directions from the German Railway Station, "Badischer Bahnhof" (DB)

• Upon exiting the railway station "Badischer Bahnhof", go straight across the street passing in front of the railway station (Schwarzwaldallee).
• Follow the Rosentalstrasse for about 600 m (0.4 miles) until you hit the tram stop "Gewerbeschule".
  
• Turn right and follow the Mattenstrasse for about 150 m.
  
• Then you will see to your right a BSSE sign. Follow the sign to the right and after approximately 20 meters you will hit a fence.
  
• At the entrance of the building to your left (BSSE) you will find a phone box and a list of names. Call us then.
  

Directions from the Swiss/French Railway Station (SBB/SNCF)

• Take Tram No. 2 direction "Eglisee"
• Get off at the stop "Gewerbeschule" at Mattenstrasse.
• Cross the tram tracks and follow the Mattenstrasse for about 150 m.
  
• Then you will see to your right a BSSE sign. Follow the sign to the right and after approximately 20 meters you will hit a fence.
  
• At the entrance of the building to your left (BSSE) you will find a phone box and a list of names. Call us then.
