D-BSSE Shop

Being a service provider for the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering, it is the aim of the D-BSSE Shop to support the scientists in all purchasing issues. More than 690 stock items and over 3200 catalogue items can be efficiently ordered through the D-BSSE Shop software. New products, which are not yet in the web catalogue, can be ordered via online form and will then be added to the catalogue.

The shop customer will continuously be updated via email about the status of his/her order.). A database provides information about ordered products, (including origination and status information). All orders are operated through the ETH SAP software. Each and every process involved; from ordering goods up to the settlement of the bill, is executed by the Shop staff.

In order to keep things simple and straightforward, we use only one customer number per company (all special terms and conditions are linked to this number) and the shipping and billing addresses are clearly defined. All invoices will primarily be financed through a central shop fund from where the transactions will be debited onto the group’s accounts.

We also purchase all expensive scientific-, IT-equipment and capital goods for the whole Department and support the scientists if the purchase needs to be published (WTO-tender).
