Department Coordination

The department coordinator is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective relations with the ETH Executive Board (Schulleitung). She also supports contact with industry and other external and internal partners; in particular in the Basel area. The coordinator participates in all D-BSSE meetings and handles the communication of decisions from these meetings to the respective parties. She contributes and assists in composing strategic and annual reports. In addition she is involved in making sure the D-BSSE is properly presented and represented in political, scientific, and industrial circles. This includes maintaining the tools the department uses to communicate such as the webpage and any print material.

The coordinator is also responsible for the administration of the D-BSSE PhD students and manages the Systems Biology graduate program within the Life Sciences Zurich Graduate School.
